Review: Doritos Blaze Tortilla Chips

Doritos Blaze tortilla chips are planned to be the start of a spicy sub-brand of Doritos and feature a "complex flavor and heat that builds as you crunch."

They retail for $4.29 for a 9.75-oz bag but I received these courtesy of Doritos.

The size and texture is the same as regular Doritos with the slightly bubbled surface and thin crispiness.

There's a strong jalapeno aroma with some onion and garlic plus something that made me cough a little when I inhaled too strong a whiff.

The flavor is pretty true to the aroma with a likewise strong jalapeno flavor laced with onion and garlic but also a touch of sweetness and a hefty kick of spicy heat.

Overall, Doritos Blaze tortilla chips were pretty tasty as I tend to like jalapeno-flavored chips. The spicy burn keeps me from eating too many in one sitting though.
