California Pizza Kitchen Adds New Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Calling it a "first from a national restaurant brand," California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) introduces launches new Cauliflower Pizza Crust nationwide.

The new pizza crust option is gluten-free and lower in carbs than the chain's classic hand-tossed pizza dough. As it often the case with gluten-free pizza crust, it should be noted that while the crust is made of gluten-free ingredients, it's prepared in shared kitchen space and may not be completely free from gluten.

Getting the new crust in place of the chain's classic hand-tossed or crispy thin crust will cost you an extra $2.50.

CPK also adds four new seasonal items to the menu

- Citrus Adobo Pizza- Topped with slow-cooked pork carnitas tossed in a housemade ancho chili adobo sauce, sweet white corn, roasted peppers, quesadilla and Monterey Jack cheeses, fresh cilantro, and lime. Served with a side of spicy chili de arbol salsa.

- Mexican Street Corn - Sweet corn removed from the cob and roasted with smoked paprika, Feta, and Parmesan. It's served with fresh cilantro, lime, and housemade ranchito sauce.

- Spiked Cucumber - Your choice of vodka, rum, or gin, shaken with freshly pureed pineapple and cucumber, Monin Cucumber syrup, torn mint, and agave sour, then topped with sparkling water.

- Sparkling Berry-Lemon - A non-alcoholic blend of Perrier Lemon Sparkling Water with a light berry flavor, fresh lemon, blueberries, and thyme.
