Talenti's Crafted with Less Sugar line claims "half the sugar and less fat" versus regular ice cream and comes in at 120 calories per serving. The less sugar portion is due to monk fruit juice, a natural low-calorie sweetener that comes from a sub-tropical melon. The new line consists of three monk fruit juice-sweetened flavors:
- Vanilla Cinnamon Gelato - Cinnamon-steeped vanilla gelato with a cinnamon swirl.
- Mint Cookie Crunch Gelato - Gelato made with fresh mint leaves and mixed with crunchy chocolate cookie pieces.
- Chocolate Fudge Swirl Gelato - Dark chocolate gelato with a fudge swirl.
The the regular line, you can find these three new flavors in the freezer aisle:
- Cold Brew Coffee Dairy-Free Sorbetto - Fair trade Brazilian and Colombian cold-brewed coffee blended into a non-dairy sorbetto.
- Chocolate Caramel Blondie Gelato - Gelato made with Belgian chocolate and dulce de leche with a salted caramel swirl and chewy mini blondie pieces.
- Almond Butter & Honey Gelato - A limited-time flavor featuring almond butter slow-cookied into milk and cream with a dash of salt and some wildflower honey.
You can find the six new flavors at grocery stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $4.99 to $5.99 per pint.
