Review: 7-Eleven - Tots

7-Eleven Tots are tater tots that you can top however you like at the chain's condiment bar.

An order of 10 tots cost $1.

The tots are a little smaller than the typical tater tots you find at the supermarket (maybe so they heat up faster?). I asked them to heat me up some fresh but they still turned out mostly soft throughout with very little in the way of crispiness.

I topped my tots with nacho cheese sauce, chili, and diced onions (you can basically choose from the same stuff they put out for nachos and hot dogs). The cheese was creamy, smooth, and warm while the chili added a little bit of sweet, salty, and spicy. The onions were soft rather than crunchy and lacked the usual bite.

When it comes down to it, 7-Eleven Tots are probably a step below baking some frozen tater tots in the oven but are saved by your ability to top them off as the chili and cheese are pretty good. That being said, I'd rather get the chili and cheese over some chips.
