Starbucks Features Plant-Based Milk with Arrival of New Almondmilk Honey Flat White and Coconutmilk Latte

Starbucks adds two new plant-based milk and espresso drinks to the permanent menu with the arrival of the new Almondmilk Honey Flat White and Coconutmilk Latte. The chain also adds oatmilk as another non-dairy option in select Midwest markets.

The Almondmilk Honey Flat White consists of Blonde Espresso with a honey blend and steamed almondmilk, finished with a signature dot of foam.

The Coconutmilk Latte features Blonde Espresso steamed coconutmilk topped with a line of cascara sugar.

About 1,300 Starbucks locations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin now offer oatmilk as well as the featured Oatmilk Honey Latte.

The Oatmilk Honey Latte takes the chain's Blonde Espresso and mixes it with a honey blend and steamed oatmilk with a sweet and savory honey topping.

Starbucks first introduced plant-based dairy alternatives to their offerings in 1997 with the addition of soymilk. They went on to add coconutmilk in 2015 and almondmilk in 2016.

Starbucks also brings back the Smoked Butterscotch Latte for a limited time. The drink features smoked butterscotch sauce mixed with espresso and steamed milk, finished with a sprinkling of smoky butterscotch topping.
