Review: Devour - Loaded Potatoes with Angus Beef and Bacon

Devour's Loaded Potatoes with Angus Beef and Bacon feature roasted seasoned potatoes with a "chunky" queso, pieces of Angus beef, and applewood-smoked bacon, with a bit of mozzarella sprinkled on top.

A 9-oz box was $3.49 on sale.

The bulk of the meal was diced potatoes. As is typical of frozen food, they don't really feel roasted as any crispiness was lost in the microwave. That being said, they were soft but not mushy. I didn't taste much seasoning to them.

The "chunky" queso was quite spicy and the "chunky" bit refers to roasted peppers. There was a pleasant mild and creamy flavor to it beyond the spicy heat. Both the queso and the mozzarella that melted into it were pretty smooth.

The beef was decently tender while retaining a meaty chew and texture. There was a nice, lightly seasoned flavor to it.

I didn't notice the bacon and green onions much in taste or texture. I wonder if the green onions would have held up better if they came in a separate pouch to be sprinkled on right after cooking.

Despite the lackluster bacon and green onions, I enjoyed Devour's Loaded Potatoes with Angus Beef and Bacon quite a bit. The meat and potatoes plus spicy cheese sauce was a combination done well here.
