Wendy's take on the hot honey trend showcases a sauce featuring honey with fruity habanero peppers for "the right balance of heat with sweet without being overpowering."
Wendy's Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich consists of a crispy-fried spicy chicken breast filet, melted Pepper Jack cheese, three strips of applewood-smoked bacon, crispy-fried pickle chips, and two layers of hot honey sauce on a toasted premium bun. (I inquired if we would be able to order a side of fried pickle chips and it's not currently an option--you can, however, get them added to other sandwiches/burgers.)
The Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit is only available during breakfast hours and features a crispy-fried chicken filet with two layers of hot honey sauce served on a warm buttermilk biscuit. It's basically a spicy take on their Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.
You can also get a Hot Honey dip cup to go with your chicken nuggets or fries.
The suggested price for the Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit is $3.19, while the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich is $5.99 (prices may vary).
Wendy's is also offering a few deals this month involving the new Hot Honey Chicken menu items:
- From February 12 to February 20, 2022, you can get a free Hot Honey Spicy Chicken Sandwich with any $15 or more purchase via DoorDash.
- Through February 20, 2022, you can get any Wendy's drink that comes in a cup for free with the purchase of any Wendy’s breakfast sandwich (including the Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit) in-restaurant or via the mobile app.
