Pringles Trying to Get a Spider Named After It

Apparently someone over at Kellogg's noticed that there's a spider with markings that happens to look "just like the Pringles logo" with the "slanted hairline, the beady eyes and even that signature 'stache" so they're trying to petition to rename the spider as the "Pringles Spider."

The spider in question is the Araneus mitificus, commonly known as the kidney garden spider or pale orb weaver, and it's mostly found in parts of Asia.

You can find the petition online at www.pringles.com/us/pringles-spider.html. The site also allows visitors to "adopt" a virtual Pringles Spider.
