Review: Wendy's - Strawberry Frosty

Wendy's Strawberry Frosty features vanilla Frosty base mixed with strawberry syrup (a mix of mostly sugar, strawberry puree, and water).

A small is normally $1.99 near me but I received this courtesy of Wendy's.

My Frosty had been sitting for a bit so it was like melted ice cream at the edges but still soft and solid otherwise. The thickness sits somewhere between soft serve and a milkshake, which is to say it doesn't really hold a peak (although they've tried) but it's fairly difficult to slurp with a straw (although you can certainly do it). Out of the Frosty machine, there's usually a fine iciness to it but as mine had been out of the machine for some time, it was more like very soft ice cream.

Flavor-wise, the Strawberry Frosty was smooth with a nice, mellow, and fruity strawberry flavor along with a creamy finish. There's not much in the way of tartness to it.

Overall, Wendy's Strawberry Frosty turned out pretty nicely for a familiar, sweet, and fruity summertime ice cream-adjacent treat. It's a pleasant and conventional change from vanilla and chocolate.
