Lay's Introduces Three Limited-Time FIFA World Cup-Inspired Potato Chip Flavors

Lay's partners with FIFA (for "Fédération internationale de Football Association") to release three new, limited-time FIFA World Cup-inspired potato chip flavors ahead of this year's World Cup soccer competition.

The new flavors draw inspiration from American and Mexican cuisine and include the following:

- Lay’s Adobadas - A combination of chili, tomato and lime. Adobadas means "marinated" in Spanish and can refer to a type of marinated pork but also to the marinade-style itself.

- Lay’s Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Popper - A combination of jalapeno and smoky BBQ.

- Lay’s Wavy Carnitas Street Tacos - A "rich taco-style pork carnitas flavor." Carnitas is pork braised or simmered in lard or oil.

You can find the three FIFA World Cup-inspired flavors at retailers nationwide starting this month. Lay’s Adobadas and Lay’s Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Popper can be found in 7.75-oz bags for $4.59 and 2.625-oz bags for $2.29, while Lay’s Wavy Carnitas Street Tacos can be found in 7.5-oz bags for $4.59 (prices may vary).

Along with the new product launch, Frito-Lay's offers an "interactive online fan experience" with a chance to win soccer-inspired merchandise and prizes at www.fritolayscore.com.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will take place from November 20 through December 18, 2022.
