McDonald's Puts Together New "As Featured In Meal"

McDonald's As Featured In Meal
McDonald's plays on cameos their food has made in various entertainment media, including films, TV, songs, and anime, to put together the new As Featured In Meal for a limited time.

McDonald's As Featured In Meal launches globally in over 100 countries today (including the US and Canada) and features "a collection of fan-favorite menu items that have made iconic appearances throughout film, television, and music."

The As Featured In Meal includes a choice of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, or Big Mac Sandwich to go with medium fries, a medium soft drink and newly-branded Sweet 'N Sour Sauce. The Sweet 'N Sour Sauce sports a new label with a Loki-theme (as McDonald's food will be making an appearance in Season 2 of of Loki, which will be streaming on Disney+ on October 6, 2023.

Prices vary but the As Featured In Meal ranges from $8.89 (with Chicken McNuggets) to $9.19 (with the Big Mac... yes, somehow the QPC Meal is cheaper by 10 cents) near me in the Los Angeles area. Interestingly, the regular 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal is $8.89, while the regular Big Mac meal and Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal are 10 cents less than the As Featured In Meal (so they're adding a 10-cent charge for the Sweet 'N Sour Sauce essentially).

The As Featured In Meal is the latest in a series of limited-time, combo meals that McDonald's has put together in recent times, which often take regular menu items and pair them with a special theme such as a celebrity's favorite McDonald's meal or to celebrate Grimace's birthday.

As part of the promotions for the As Featured in Meal, McDonald's has partnered with Palace (a streetwear brand) to release the Palace McDonald's merch line, which you can access by scanning the code on the packaging of the As Featured in Meal. Additionally, on August 18, 2023, Palace will be taking over the very-first McDonald's restaurant (which is located 10207 Lakewood Blvd, Downey, CA) with a pop-up fashion stop where you can buy the Palace McDonald's merch.
