California Pizza Kitchen Adds New Crispy Chicken Sandwich and More

California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) readies for fall 2023 with the arrival of four new, limited-time menu items, including the new Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The chain also brings back the original version of the Italian Chopped Salad due to "overwhelming demand."

The Crispy Chicken Sandwich features an extra-crispy, hand-breaded chicken served with tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and mayo, on a toasted brioche bun. It comes with crispy smashed potatoes on the side.

The other new, fall 2023 menu items include:

- Black & Bleu Pizza - Topped with marinated grilled carne asada, Gorgonzola crumbles, garlic olive oil, oven-roasted cherry tomatoes, shaved red onions, cracked black pepper, and parsley.

- Spicy Buffalo Chicken Chopped Salad - Grilled chicken (also available with crispy chicken) tossed in CPK's signature Buffalo sauce served atop of a bed of Romaine lettuce, Monterey Jack and creamy Gorgonzola cheese, carrots, celery, scallions, and cilantro tossed with herb ranch dressing. 

- Sparkling Mango Sangria - Coppola Pinot Grigio and Milagro Silver Tequila mixed with the flavors of pineapple, mango, and guava.

CPK's original Italian Chopped Salad consists of roasted turkey breast, julienned salami, garbanzo beans, tomatoes, fresh basil, and mozzarella cheese, tossed with a mustard herb vinaigrette dressing. They've gotten rid of the pepperoncini peppers, parmesan, and oregano, which were added earlier this year.
