News: Taco Bell - New Cheesy Double Decker Taco

Taco Bell's newest limited-time "Why Pay More" value item is the Cheesy Double Decker Taco which is basically a Double Decker Taco but with nacho cheese sauce in addition to the bean layer to bind the flour tortilla to the Crunchy Taco.

The price is very nice at 89 cents which is roughly the same as buying a Crunchy Taco (compared to $1.29 for a Double Decker).

For those who don't know of the Double Decker, the Cheesy Double Decker Taco features a soft flour tortilla "glued" to a Crunchy Taco by a layer of refried beans and nacho cheese sauce. The Crunchy Taco is filled with seasoned beef, shredded Cheddar cheese, and shredded lettuce.

The Cheesy Double Decker Taco is also available as part of a $5 Buck Box which also includes a Taco Supreme, Burrito Supreme, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium fountain drink.

  1. I finally had one tonight, and it was great. It seems like they actually constructed it better than the usual double decker, there was definitely more lettuce and cheese. The nacho cheese sauce is subtle, but nice.

  3. I love it because I've been ordering Cheesy Gordita Crunches at almost 4 bucks a pop. So I just add baja sauce to these badboys. I can barely taste a difference and I'm saving 3 bucks a taco!
