Review: Subway - New Yogurt Parfait

In addition to the new, limited-time Oven Crisp Chicken Sub, Subway also has a new, permanent menu addition, Yogurt Parfait. It's made fresh daily with low fat vanilla yogurt with a layer of strawberries and blueberries and a granola topping.

A small cup is $1.49.

The cup I picked up was actually made the day before (so much for freshness) as you can tell by some of the fruit juices leeching into the yogurt.
The yogurt portion is pretty good with a yogurt tartness paired with a light vanilla flavor.
The fruit not so much; they were more sour and not so sweet. The blueberries in particular didn't have the juicy firmness but instead felt like they had started to dry a bit. Several times, I found myself chewing on blueberry skin. It was really off-putting.
The granola was okay; mostly rolled oats that were crisp but not crunchy. I was hoping for more of the crunchy stuff.

Overall, Subway's Yogurt Parfait was just kinda "meh" for me. I prefer McDonald's version which costs less to boot.

  1. Whoever wrote this has an axe to grind. I don't even like yogurt, I tried it and now order it every time I go in there. Delicious. My wife feels the same way.
