Review: Wendy's - Cinnamon Swirl

I tried Wendy's Cinnamon Swirl at a local Wendy's where they serve breakfast as part of the chain's testing. It's basically a cinnamon roll with icing and similar to McDonald's Cinnamon Melts and is priced the same at $1.69.

I liked this one better than the Cinnamon Melt from McDonald's simply because it didn't have as much icing and wasn't as sweet. It was still quite sweet. Just not as sweet as McDonald's version (although I don't know if that is by intent or by happenstance).

It had that warm, fresh-baked taste and features a nice, bready texture with plenty of cinnamon.

It was good but still not unlike something you could bake in the over from Pillsbury at home. Still, as a quick, single serving of cinnamon roll goodness, it's not bad at all.
