Review: Burger King - Buffalo Chicken Fries

Burger King's Buffalo Chicken Fries features the chain's signature breaded fry-shaped chicken with a dry seasoning to mimic Buffalo chicken wings.

I picked up an order of nine Fries for $3.19.

The container for these is pretty amusing. It's decorated to look like a cartoon chicken's face dressed up  like (or crossed with) a buffalo with shaggy hair, bull-shaped eyes, horns, and a nose ring. There's sayings written on it like "I may be chicken but my spirit animal is buffalo."

Breaded chicken always reminds me of the chicken nuggets you buy frozen from the supermarket and the Buffalo Chicken Fries are no exception. On the plus side, they're crispier from the frying.

In taste, the Chicken Fries offered a fairly light but tasty Buffalo wing flavor with just a slight tanginess and hint of heat to it. You might be disappointed if you were expecting something a bit more bold though. The chicken, while sporting that smooth texture of ground chicken, was meaty enough to balance out the breading.

Overall, Burger King's Buffalo Chicken Fries were quite good with a mild but very dip-able flavor. Go with the Buffalo sauce for an enhanced, spicier wing flavor or the Ranch (sorry, no blue cheese) for a complementary creamy herb note. Both went really well with the Chicken Fries.
