Whether it's a competitor's pizza, a homemade pizza, or even a frozen one, you get get 10 points for scanning it with the app. Once you accrue 60 points, you can redeem them through the Pie Rewards loyalty program (you'll need to sign up if you're not a member already) for a free medium two-topping pizza from Domino's.
Interestingly, there's some software that had to be developed by Domino's to verify that it's pizza that you scanned in to give you your points.
The Point for Pies promotion runs through April 28, 2019 and Domino's will give out at least 100 million points during the 12-week period. There's a limited amount of points available each day and you can use the mobile app for updates on point availability. You are limited to 10 points a week and a maximum of 60 points (one free pizza) through the promotion. More details regarding Points for Pies can be found at pointsforpies.dominos.com.
