Review: Frito-Lay - Doritos 3D Crunch Chili Cheese Nachos Corn Snacks

Doritos 3D Chili Cheese Nacho Crunch corn snacks feature triangle corn snacks that puff up during frying so that there's a sizable hollow center (which they might call a "3D corn chip").

A 2-oz bag goes for around $2 but I received this courtesy of Doritos.

The texture of Doritos 3D Crunch isn't all that similar to regular Doritos tortilla chips (which have irregular and sporadic bubbling) nor Fritos (which generally don't have much bubbling at all). Instead, they're very similar to Bugles with a somewhat pork rind-like texture for an airy crunch.

Taste-wise, Doritos 3D Chili Cheese Nacho offers a slightly milder version of Doritos Nacho Cheese with some extra tomato flavor, added spices, and a slow-building spicy heat.

Overall, Doritos 3D Crunch Chili Cheese Nacho corn snacks are pretty good in my book and add some welcomed variety in terms of texture and flavor to the Doritos Nacho Cheese wheelhouse without going too far afield.
