Church's Bourbon Black Pepper Smokehouse Chicken Makes Annual Return for 2021

Bourbon Black Pepper Smokehouse Chicken makes its annual limited-time return to the Church's Chicken menu in time for summer 2021. The chain also welcomes Texas Sheet Cake and Peach Perfect flavor for lemonade and tea for a limited time this summer.

The menu item features a bone-in half chicken marinated in a "savory, smoky seasoning" and is then deep-fried without batter or breading. Once it's fried, they glaze it with a sweet and smoky bourbon-infused sauce and sprinkle on some fresh-cracked black pepper.

For $5, you get Bourbon Black Pepper Smokehouse Chicken, mashed potatoes, and a Honey-Butter Biscuit. A family meal featuring the chicken goes for $20 and includes 2 half chickens, 6 Texas Tenders, a large order of mashed potatoes and gravy, a large order of coleslaw, and 4 Honey-Butter Biscuits.

You can find Bourbon Black Pepper Smokehouse Chicken at participating Church's locations through August 29, 2021, while supplies last. Church's Chicken first introduced Bourbon Black Pepper Smokehouse Chicken in 2018.

The Texas Sheet Cake features gooey chocolate cake topped with chocolate frosting, while Peach Perfect is peach flavoring that can be added to lemonade or tea.
