McDonald's Begins Testing McPlant Burger at 8 Locations Across the US

McDonald's beings testing the new McPlant burger for a limited time at eight select locations across the US.

McDonald's McPlant features an exclusive, plant-based burger patty developed in partnership with Beyond Meat. The patty is made with various ingredients including peas, rice, and potatoes. It's served along with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, mayo, ketchup, mustard, and an American cheese slice on a toasted sesame seed bun. While the patty is plant-based, it's cooked on the same grill as meat-based product and eggs.

McDonald's uses the McPlant name for similar plant-based burgers in a number of countries, including Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria, and the UK.

You can find the McPlant for a limited time, while supplies last, at the McDonald's restaurants in Irving and Carrollton, Texas, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Jennings and Lake Charles, Louisiana, and El Segundo and Manhattan Beach, California.
