Panera Launches "Contactless Dine-In"

Panera adds new "Contactless Dine-In" as a feature in their mobile app nationwide as a convenient way to order ahead, pick up your plate of food, and sit down and eat.

The way Panera's Contactless Dine-In works is you place a Contactless Dine-In order in the app and they'll send you an email and text and/or push notification (if you opt in) when your food is plated and ready to grab at the pick-up counter.

According to the chain, benefits of Contactless Dine-In include avoiding a wait in line, a wait at the pick-up area, and the use of shared devices such as ordering kiosks and pagers.

Contactless Dine-In joins a number of ways, including curbside, drive-thru, Rapid Pick-Up, and delivery, that you can get your food from Panera beyond just going to the counter and ordering.
