According to the chain, they've made some improvements to their birria offering, including a crispier shell for the crunchy taco and a more flavorful Consome Dipping Sauce.
El Pollo Loco's offers Shredded Beef Birria in three combo options that come packed in a specially-designed carrier box that holds a Shredded Beef Birria entree, Consome Dipping Sauce, and a side of tortilla chips.
The three entree choices include:
- Birria Crunchy Tacos - Two crunchy corn tortillas filled with beef birria, cheese, onion, and cilantro.
- Birria Grilled Burrito Box - Beef birria, cheese, sour cream, rice, beans, cabbage, onion, and cilantro, wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla and grilled.
- Birria Overstuffed Quesadilla - Beef birria, avocado, cheese, onion, and cilantro sealed inside of a grilled, hexagonally-folded flour tortilla.
Shredded Beef Birria is available now at El Pollo Loco for a limited time through June 28, 2023. They first added birria to the menu last year.
