McDonald's Reveals "Small But Tasty" Improvements to Core Burger Line-up

McDonald's Double Cheeseburger with "small but tasty" improvements
McDonald's reveals "small but tasty improvements" to their core burger menu ahead of a nationwide rollout by 2024. The changes, which affect the Big Mac, McDouble, Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger, and Hamburger, include:

- "Softer, pillowy buns that are freshly toasted to a golden brown."

- "Perfectly melted cheese that will make you want to savor every last bit off the wrapper."

- "Juicier, caramelized flavor from adding white onions to the patties while they’re still on the grill."

- "Even more of everyone’s favorite Big Mac sauce, bringing more tangy sweetness in every Big Mac bite."

The changes are meant to make the burger "hotter, juicier, and more delicious."

The burger-making changes have already taken effect in international markets, including Australia, Canada, and Belgium, and have been rolled out in several cities in the Western US, including Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Sacramento, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver, Boise, Tucson, and surrounding cities.

As the burger changes rolls out heading towards 2024, the chain plans to start running TV ads featuring the Hamburglar locally so you can tell when the changes have hit your area.

The changes follows the chain's transition to cooked-to-order fresh beef in the Quarter Pounder with Cheese in 2018, and the launch of the Crispy Chicken Sandwich (which was renamed the "McCrispy" this year) in 2021.
