Starbucks Adds Actual Pumpkin to Pumpkin Spice Latte

Starbucks has reformulated their Pumpkin Spice Latte to include pumpkin among its ingredients as well as to get rid of caramel coloring.

The Pumpkin Spice Latte ingredient list is now as follows:

- Espresso
- Milk
- Pumpkin Spice Flavored Sauce (Sugar, Condensed Skim Milk, Pumpkin Puree, Contains 2% or Less of Fruit and Vegetable Juice for Color, Natural Flavors, Annatto (Color), Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Salt)
- Whipped Cream (Light Whipping Cream [Cream, Mono and Diglycerides, Carrageenan])
- Starbucks Vanilla Syrup (Sugar, Water, Natural Flavors, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), Citric Acid)
- Pumpkin Spice Topping (Cinnamon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Clove)

Despite its name, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte previously did not contain any pumpkin in it. As for the caramel coloring, certain types of it pose a potential cancer risk. It's unclear which type Starbucks uses/used.

The Pumpkin Spice Latte will arrive soon. No official date has yet been announced but it launched early September last year.
