Krispy Kreme Japan Introduces "American Homemade" Donuts

Krispy Kreme's latest offering over in Japan is new "American Homemade" Donuts.

"American Homemade" meaning donuts inspired by homemade American desserts like apple pie, cherry pie and... New York cheesecake (two out of three isn't bad; 2.5 if you just nix the "New York" portion).

In case you find yourself in Japan, the donuts are available through September 15, 2015 and are priced at 230 yen (~$1.86 US) a piece.

The three donuts included in the promotion are:

- Mother Apple Pie donut (I think they mean "Mother's") - a yeast ring donut dusted with cinnamon sugar, topped with graham cracker crumbs, a dollop of diced apple pie filling, and a drizzle caramel sauce.

- Red Cherry Pie donut - a yeast ring donut with what appears to be cherry icing with a ring of graham cracker crumbs and a circle of cherry sauce.

- New York Cheesecake donut - a yeast shell donut with a cream cheese-flavored filling, topped with icing as well as crumbled graham crackers and almond crunch cookies.

Alongside the American dessert donuts, they're also offering frozen lemonade and frozen strawberry milk at select locations.
