Review: Starbucks - Hot Chocolate

Starbucks' Hot Chocolate features steamed milk with mocha syrup, vanilla syrup, and whipped cream.  I guess Starbucks did away with their Signature Hot Chocolate, though now that I think about it, I probably should have asked.  So instead of getting the Signature Hot Chocolate, I got a Tall Hot Chocolate.

As you can see, I drank some on the way home before I could snap a picture.  You can get it with or without whipped cream.  I got it without.

How did it taste?  It tasted like a store-bought powder hot chocolate;  same kind of thing you can make at home except it costs $2.30.  It's not very chocolate-ty.  They should just call it Hot Cocoa.  For 35 cents more, I could have just gotten a Tall Latte.  $2.30 is a lot for store-bought-like hot chocolate!

  1. It's "whipped cream," not whip cream. Also- this drink is incredibly too chocolatey. Don't know what you we're comparing it to.

  2. Mr. Huh. I think you are talking about the signature hot chocolate drink and not the hot chocolate drink
