Arctic Zero Launches New Non-Dairy, Plant-Based Line of "Ice Cream"

Arctic Zero expands beyond low-calorie, whey-protein-based ice cream with the launch of new Arctic Zero Non-Dairy frozen desserts, which is made with vegetarian-friendly faba bean protein.

The new plant-based line rolls out starting this month and should be widely available by the fall. There are nine flavors are launch:

- Chocolate Peanut Butter
- Salted Caramel
- Cookie Shake
- Purely Chocolate
- Cake Batter
- Brownie Blast
- Cookie Dough Chunk
- Hint of Mint
- Cherry Chocolate Chunk

Arctic Zero Non-Dairy contains 160 to 320 calories per pint and features include low-glycemic, Kosher, and non-GMO Project-verified certification. It is sweetened with organic cane sugar and monk fruit rather than artificial sugars or sugar alcohols.

According to the brand, they went with faba bean protein because of "its luxurious mouth-feel and a slightly sweet flavor with no aftertaste."

Update 8/25/2018 - The new non-dairy line replaces the brand's original line (they're calling it a "makeover").
