Chipotle Increases Online Customization Options for Mobile App Ordering

Calling it the "Complete Customization" feature for their app, Chipotle has added the ability to make any ingredient in your order "light," "standard," or "extra" when ordering through the app.

The feature works by simply swiping left to right on an ingredient in the Chipotle app when customizing your entree.

To promote Complete Customization, Chipotle has put out an official hack menu on TikTok to demonstrate how to order three custom menu items, including (for convenience, I've paraphrased written instructions for each item):

-  DIY Nachos - https://vm.tiktok.com/Tbk6mJ/ - Order a burrito bowl with chicken, no rice, half-and-half beans, guacamole, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, and cheese. Also order a side of chips and queso blanco. Pour chips onto an oven tray and pour the queso on top, Broil in oven for a minute until "nice and toasty." Remove from oven and top with burrito bowl.

- The Extra Dip - https://vm.tiktok.com/Tgrymq/ - Order a burrito bowl with veggies (guacamole), no rice, light black beans, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo red-chili salsa, sour cream, and queso blanco. Also order a side of chips. Open the bag of chips and add a squeeze of lime and Tajin chili lime seasoning, close it up, and give it a good shake.

- Taco Salad Hack - https://vm.tiktok.com/TgJPj7/ - Order a salad with chicken, no rice, black beans, guacamole, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, extra cheese, and chipotle-honey vinaigrette. Order a side of chips as well. Crush chips in bag. Pour salad into mixing bowl and add crushed chips and vinaigrette. Toss. Sprinkle with Tabasco sauce.
