Shake Shack Tests Latest Version of Veggie Shack with New Veggie Patty made with Greens, Grains, and Herbs

Shake Shack continues to work on a vegetarian-friendly burger with a new version of the Veggie Shack that's testing for "a very limited time" at select locations in California, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Texas.

The Veggie Shack is something the chain has been trying out since 2018. The latest version features a new veggie patty made with greens, grains, and herbs. The patty is served with avocado, roasted tomato, shredded lettuce, and lemon mayo on a wheat bun. It's priced at $7.99 in my area (compared to $5.99 for a Shackburger).

The previous version featured a veggie patty made of black beans, brown rice, and beets, served with provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and vegan mustard mayo on a Martin's potato roll. Both iterations offered a vegan customization option.

While the Veggie Shack is available, you can pay extra to add avocado to the chain's other burgers and sandwiches.
