I paid $1.59 for one.
The vanilla creme filling was similar to melted marshmallow in texture. It had a sticky, somewhat stretchy consistency to it. It wasn't all that sweet and the vanilla flavor was very light. It felt a bit plain overall with a bit of an odd undertone to it that I couldn't quite place.
The crust was soft at parts and had a lighter brown color at the surface and a darker crumb inside. Unfortunately, despite the color the chocolaty flavor was fairly mild and lacked the deeper chocolate notes you get from an Oreo wafer. The sprinkle of cookie crumbs atop the creme was mostly there for visual effect as it was negligible in terms of taste and texture. Similarly, the white nonpareils in the crust weren't doing much either.
Taken altogether, McDonald's Cookies & Creme Pie was a bit of a disappointment. While the textures and appearance were nice enough, the pie was generally muted and lacked in both chocolaty cookie and vanilla creme flavor. It had me wishing they had brought back the S'mores Pie for the summer.
