Review: McDonald's - Hamburger

McDonald's Hamburger in its wrapper
The burger that spawned the house that Ray built, McDonald's Hamburger is a simple grilled hamburger patty seasoned with salt and pepper sandwiched in a plain soft, toasted bun with ketchup, mustard, a sprinkling diced onions, and a couple of pickle slices for 89 cents. Back in 1955, you could buy a McDonald's hamburger from Mr. Kroc himself for 15 cents.

It's not much in size according to today's standards but McDonald's little Hamburger is sweet in its simplicity. For me, biting into one is a simple joy filled with memories and happy thoughts. The squishy softness of the bun, the sweetness of ketchup, even the little hamburger patty... it's comfort food! Where everything is now super-sized, this is how a fast-food hamburger used to be!

Give me one of theses, a small fries, and a small drink and I'm a happy camper.

Interestingly, if you ate the Hamburger without the bun, it is all of 100 calories (250 with). Take that, can of Coke!
