Review: Popeyes - Biscuit

Popeyes Biscuit
Popeyes Biscuit features a very buttery, crisp, almost flaky, crust with a nice, soft, pillowy crumb on the inside. At least in L.A., they've copped a KFC and sell them two for $1.

It's a little bit on the salty side from all the butter, but still very good.
A close #2 to KFC's biscuit in my book. I would point out that the two are very different styles of biscuits. From the crust to the crumb, the textures stand in marked contrast and overall, just feel different. Popeyes' sports a flakier rougher crust and a more spongy crumb. Still, they're both delicious and I love me some biscuits.

  1. Popeye's biscuits destroy KFC's, not even close. The only place I've ever had with a better biscuit was Hardee's.

  2. I love their biscuits! Chicken strips + cajun fries + biscuits = heaven. My family used to buy a box of biscuits to go along with dinner.. long before we knew the nutritional value...
