Review: Sonic - Strawberry Limeade

Sonic Strawberry Limeade
Sonic is well-known for their wide selection of drinks and drinkable desserts. They even offer a Half-Price Happy Hour for their drinks and slushes between 2pm and 4pm. One of their most popular drinks are their Signature Limeades (which Taco Bell aped a little with their sub-par Limeade Sparklers) which are available in Cherry, Strawberry, Lime, and Cranberry flavors. Prices range from $1.89 for a small to $2.59 for a "Route 44" i.e. 44-ounce drink. For 70 cents more, can you guess which size I went with? (In my defense, I was sharing with three people.)

Of the four flavors (six is you count the low-cal options), I chose Strawberry; I'm not a fan of Cherry or Cranberry syrup, so really my only choices were between Strawberry and Lime. Between the two, I figured Strawberry would have a little more "oomph."

How was it? Tart, tangy, and very refreshing, especially as the barometer rises. Especially, if you go between 2pm and 4pm and it's half-price. It's poured with small pebble-sized ice. Not sure if there's any special reason for the ice shape though.

I liked the strawberry flavor, it wasn't too syrupy or sweet and there's actual real strawberry in it. There's real lime too. Sonic's Strawberry Limeade is like something you'd make it home, really. It gets a definite "recommend" from me.
