The price for a set of three tenders in my locale is $3.59 or $6.99 for a combo with a regular side, biscuit, and regular drink.
Louisiana Tenders are covered in a very crispy batter with lots of texture (i.e. nooks and crannies) somewhat akin to KFC's Extra Crispy Strips but times two in the crispy department.
The strips I got were a little bit on the thin side, and were a little on the dry side because of it, but your mileage will vary. They were surprisingly not very greasy, especially for deep-fried chicken. The flavor is mostly salt followed by spicy heat. Simple but good and perfect for dipping.

ReplyDeletei know your pain
ReplyDeleteI used to be completely loyal to Popeyes, and I still love them, but I have to say I've gotten to like Church's just as much over the last couple months. The only thing is they don't come out with the great seafood promotions like butterfly shrimp and crawfish that Popeyes does.
ReplyDeleteI love Love LOVE Popeye's food! It is my favorite! I think they are better than KFC and Church's.
