Pei Wei Tests Over 30 New Items All at One Location

Pei Wei has launched a test kitchen where customers can try over 30 new and refined dishes that are being trialed for a possible national rollout.

The new Pei Wei Test Kitchen is located near the brand's headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona and is open to the public.

Menu items being tested draw from a number of Asian cuisines as well as Asian fusion. Options include new Asian Street Tacos (in Korean BBQ, Banh Mi-Style, and Teriyaki varieties), Wok-Tossed Wings, Kimchi Fried Rice Bowls, Korean BBQ Steak Bibimbap, Spicy Peanut Chicken Satay Bowl, Vietnamese Chicken Pho, and Pork Belly Ramen. Basically, it looks like they're trying popular dishes that you might find at a Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Thai restaurant but all under one roof. You can find the test location's full menu on their website here.

According to Pei Wei Chief Marketing Officer Clay Dover, "We will leverage our open concept kitchen to gather essential feedback from actual guests in real time to guide future decision-making. Our goal is to respond quickly to their input and market trends as we evolve our menu."

The company will utilize its My Wei Rewards member data to engage with and survey guests who have ordered a new Test Kitchen menu item.

The Pei Wei Test Kitchen also features new interior and exterior artwork and signage is meant to reflect the brand's (potential) "progressive look and feel." You can find it located at 20851 N. Scottsdale Road in Grayhawk Plaza. It's open Sunday through Monday from 11 AM to 9 PM and Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 9:30 PM.
