Review: Wendy's - Swiss Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger

Wendy's Swiss Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger features ranch sauce, Swiss cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, beef patty, lettuce, and tomato on a toasted bun.

It's currently an option on their 4 for $4 deal. My local Wendy's also sells it alone for $1.99.

It might be called the Swiss Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger but it's the ranch that makes for the key difference between it and the original Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger and the slightly tangy, creamy herbiness was the most present throughout.

The Swiss cheese was the typical bland creaminess of fast food Swiss. The bacon, on the other hand, was top-notch with the right combination of crispy, salty, and smoky.

The beef was thin but remained moist and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. The bun was spongy but overly soft and squishy.

At the end of the day, Wendy's Swiss Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger offers just enough of a tweak to a very solid small burger in case you're looking for something new. Somehow the namesake Swiss managed to be less flavorful than American cheese though.
