Review: Nabisco - Blueberry Brown Sugar Newtons Fruit Thins

Nabisco's new Blueberry Brown Newton Fruit Thins are a crispy take on the run-of-the-mill Newton and also comes in three other flavors: Cranberry Citrus Oat, Chocolate Raspberry, and Fig and Honey.

A 10.5-ounce package retails for around $4.00 which means a sale price range of $2.00 to $3.00.

Each serving promises 8 grams of whole grains and are made with real fruit.
This is really the first cookie I've eaten that promised the flavor of blueberries and I was a bit skeptical about how it'd turn out but it's pretty good.

There's quite a few blueberries baked into the cookie and they provide plenty of blueberry flavor as well as a bit of chewiness to the otherwise crispy brown sugar cookie.
Overall, Nabisco's Blueberry Brown Sugar Newtons Fruit Thins provide an interesting, unique flavor among cookies. They're quite pleasant and a bit understated, like something you might serve or enjoy with tea.

  2. These work best if you think of them as a sweet cracker. Very nice with some fruit and cheese, or spread with a little cream cheese.

  3. Very dry and tasteless. Thumbs down. Won't buy them again.

Gotta disagree here.  I bought a pack of these a couple weeks ago and tried the first cookie out of curiousity.  I haven't had one since and they are sitting in my cupboard only to be used as an "emergency" treat.  Brown sugar and blueberries are awesome, but they did not work well in these cookies.

  6. I think they are pretty good, they could use a bit more flavor but overall they aren't bad.

  8. I would like to know how many people have broken their teeth on these cookies? I tried the raspberry and chocolate and now am looking at over 3,000 on dental work from cracked teeth! the bits of raspberry are like rocks!
