Review: Wendy's - Sausage & Egg Burrito

Wendy's Sausage & Egg Burrito is part of a breakfast test at one of my local Wendy's restaurants and is very simple with only cut-up sausage, scrambled egg, and American cheese wrapped up in a small flour tortilla for 99 cents.

This one is definitely snack-sized for most people but then again it is a value menu item. I think the Wendy's version might actually be smaller than the one Taco Bell is testing but may just be more tightly packed.
Taste wise, they're very similar with slightly different cheeses (American versus cheddar). It's a bit plain by default but Wendy's gives you a packet of hot sauce to liven things up and it does the trick.

Still, I prefer the McDonald's approach with some bell peppers and onions in there. They really do make quite a bit of difference. I prefer biscuits and English muffins as my carb of choice for breakfast but breakfast burritos do make for less of a mess and are more of an on-the-go item.

  1. Mcds doesnt have anything with eggs on their dollar menu. The sausage mcmuffin is $1. The one with egg is $1.89. At least here it is, am I missing something ? I haven't tried all of their dollar menu items so..

  3. It's been awhile but the last breakfast burrito I ate from McDs was yummy and worth the buck plus tax they asked for around 2-1/2 years ago.
