Starbucks Japan's Latest Frappucino Comes with an Edible Pie Dome Lid

Inspired by pie, Starbucks Japan's newest Frappuccino comes lidded with an actual dome lid made of pie crust.

The pie lid takes the place of the standard plastic dome-shaped lid you find on similar cold beverages, complete with a hole at the apex for your straw. It can only be found on the new American Cherry Pie Frappuccino, which arrives on April 13, 2017 and will only be available for a limited time.

Besides the dome-shaped pie crust, the drink features the chain's vanilla-flavored creme base, pie crumbles, and cherry compote, topped with whipped cream. You can break up the lid as you go to add some crunch to the Frappuccino. An over-sized straw is included to suck up the broken up pieces of pie crust.
