Wienerschnitzel Finally Adding Schnitzel to the Menu

Starting May 1, 2017, Wienerschnitzel will finally be serving schnitzel but not wiener schnitzel, which is made of veal. Instead they'll be launching three new Chicken Schnitzel Sandwiches.

Each sandwich will features a boneless chicken patty breaded with potato chips. The three available options are: Classic Ranch, BBQ Bacon, and Blazin' Bacon Guacamole.

Classic Ranch carries a suggested price of $3.49 (may vary) and comes topped with ranch sauce, pickles, lettuce, and tomato.

BBQ Bacon features barbecue sauce, sauteed onions, cheese, and bacon. The suggested price for the BBQ Bacon is $3.99.

Besides the chicken, Blazin' Bacon Guacamole also includes spicy Blazin' sauce, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, and bacon. It will cost $4.49.

The sandwiches will be available for a limited time through June 25, 2017 at participating locations.

While Wienerschnitzel has never offered schnitzel on the menu before the upcoming May release, its name came at the suggestion of Taco Bell founder Glen Bell's wife who got it from a cookbook (Glen Bell had a hand in Wienerschnitzel founder John Galardi starting the hot dog chain).
