Taco Bell Tests What's Essentially the Return of Chipotle-Like Cantina Bell Menu

Taco Bell tests the new From Our Cantina Menu in Cleveland, Ohio. The more upscale menu includes a new burrito bowl and burrito and sounds a lot like the second coming of the discontinued and Chipotle-like Cantina Bell Menu.

The new menu features two new ingredients: purple cabbage and new grilled white-meat chicken seasoned with "a homestyle-inspired blend of onion, garlic, pepper, and a hint of chili pepper." Both menu items come served with a side of chips and guacamole.

The items on the From Our Cantina Menu are:

- Avocado Ranch Bowl - Homestyle-seasoned grilled chicken, black beans, purple cabbage, iceberg lettuce, and pico de gallo, served over a bed of seasoned rice and topped with Avocado Ranch Sauce. The bowl is selling for $5.49 and you can add a large fountain drink for a buck more. You can also get it with grilled steak instead of chicken for $6.49 ($7.49 with a drink).

- Chipotle Grilled Burrito - Grilled steak, seasoned rice, black beans, Creamy Chipotle Sauce, purple cabbage, iceberg lettuce, and pico de gallo wrapped inside a warm flour tortilla and grill-pressed. The price for the burrito (which includes chips and guac) is $6.49, while adding a large drink will cost you $1 extra. You can also get it with grilled chicken for $5.49 ($6.49 with a drink).

According to Taco Bell, the new menu and ingredients are inspired by their Taco Bell Cantina restaurants.

The test is slated to run at participating locations in the Cleveland, OH area through mid-October 2019.
