Babybel Launches Functional "Cheese" Snacks

With the increased interest in health and wellness at the beginning of each year, Babybel introduces a new line of functional "cheese" (technically, they're not "cheese" but cheese-like dairy products) snacks next month.

The Babybel Plus+ line launches with two varieties: Babybel Plus+ Probiotic and Babybel Plus+ Vitamins. Like the brand's regular cheeses, the new dairy snacks come wrapped in red wax.

Babybel Plus+ Probiotic features billions of live and active cultures of the LGG probiotics strain, while Babybel Plus+ Vitamins is fortified with Vitamins A and B12. As with regular cheese, both new products are a good source of protein and calcium.

According to the Mayo Clinic, "Functional foods are foods that have a potentially positive effect on health beyond basic nutrition." 

You can find both Babybel Plus+ Probiotic and Babybel Plus+ Vitamins in six-count packages at retailers nationwide starting February 2021 for a suggested retail price of $4.49.
