Walmart Accepting Pre-Orders of Gluten-Free Oreos Shipping Out Later This Month

Walmart is currently accepting pre-orders on new Gluten-Free Oreos with a "ship by" date of January 19, 2021.

The certified gluten-free version of the popular chocolate sandwich cookie comes in two varieties: original and Double Stuf. Original Gluten-Free Oreo cookies come in a 13.29-oz package, while Double Stuf Gluten-Free Oreo cookies come in a 14-oz package.

Both varieties will cost you $3.67 per package, which is the same price as the brand's larger Family Size (19 to 20 oz) packages of other regular flavors and smaller (12.2 oz) Limited Edition flavors.

According to the ingredients, the gluten-free cookies are made with a combination of white rice flour, tapioca starch and whole oat flour in place of wheat flour.

Here's the full ingredient list for original Gluten-Free Oreos:

"Sugar, White Rice Flour, Tapioca Starch, Palm Oil, Canola Oil, Whole Oat Flour, Cornstarch, Cocoa (processed with alkali), Invert Sugar, Soy Lecithin, Baking Soda, Salt, Xanthan Gum, Chocolate, Artificial Flavor."

And here is the ingredient list for regular Oreos:

"Unbleached Enriched Four (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate [Vitamin B1], Riboflavin [Vitamin B2], Folic Acid), Sugar, Palm and/or Canola Oil, Cocoa (processed with alkali), High Fructose Corn Syrup, Leavening (Baking Soda and/or Calcium Phosphate), Salt, Soy Lecithin, Chocolate, Artificial Flavor."

As far as calories go, both amount to 160 calories per 3-cookie serving with almost identical nutrition listings.

It does not appear that Amazon and Target currently have the new Oreo cookies listed online.
