The new, limited-time chicken sandwich features grilled chicken marinated in a spicy seasoning served with Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a toasted multigrain brioche bun. A packet of limited-time, creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce is included on the side. It's meant to deliver the same flavor as the chain's crispy-fried chicken offerings except on grilled chicken.
The Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich was first developed and tested a while back in fall 2017 in select markets so it's something they've been working on for quite a while. According to the chain, they spend about 18 months on testing a new menu item before adding it to the national menu.
Prices vary but the Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich costs $5.45 in my area. You can get it without cheese for $5.15.
