Burger King Reveals New Whopper Melts

Burger King looks to expand what counts as a Whopper with the March 10, 2022 national launch of new Whopper Melts, which come with two Whopper Jr. patties instead of one regular Whopper patty and are served on toasted sliced bread rather than a bun.

Burger King's Whopper Melts come in three varieties:

- Whopper Melt - Two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. beef patties, American cheese, caramelized onions, and Stacker Sauce, served between two slices of toasted bread.

- Spicy Whopper Melt -  Two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. beef patties, American cheese, jalapenos, caramelized onions, and a creamy spicy sauce, served between two slices of toasted bread.

- Bacon Whopper Melt - Two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. beef patties, American cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and Stacker Sauce, served between two slices of toasted bread.

Two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. patties are roughly the same weight as a regular Whopper patty at about a quarter of a pound pre-cooked. Suggested pricing for the Whopper Melts start at $4.29. For a limited time, Burger King will be offering Whopper Melt Meal combos to Royal Perks members for prices starting at $6.

According to Burger King, the new Whopper Melts mark the first of "more Whopper innovations" coming in 2022.
