Review: Magnum Mint Ice Cream Bars

Magnum Mint Ice Cream Bars are a new flavor of the premium ice cream brand and features mint ice cream dipped in Belgian milk chocolate and specks of caramelized sugar crunch.

Similar to rival Häagen-Dazs bars, they come three bars to a box for $4.99. These were on sale for $2.99 though. The bars are 3.38 fl oz each which is just slightly more than a Häagen-Dazs.

Judging by the shell, it looks like my bars had melted a bit and re-froze. They were no worse for the wear though.

The caramelized sugar crunch were just slightly crispy, but also kinda chewy and provided a burst of caramelized sweetness whenever I came across one.

The milk chocolate (note the lack of "y") shell is pretty thick with a rich, creamy flavor. I wonder if dark chocolate might pair better with mint, but the combination of milk chocolate and mint are still quite tasty.

Inside is a mint-flavored rich vanilla ice cream. It provides a cool, soothing mint flavor with underlying hints of vanilla.

With that hit of mint flavor, Magnum Mint Ice Cream Bars make for an extra cool dessert to help you deal with the summer heat this summer. As long as you think chocolate and mint go great together, you'll enjoy them very much.
