Review: M&M's Peanut Salty & Sweet Snack Mix

M&M's Peanut Salty & Sweet Snack Mix features an assortment of Peanut M&M's, mini shortbread cookies, roasted almonds, and mini pretzels.

An 8-ounce resealable bag retails for $3.29.

Originally I wasn't sure this mix of sweet and salty would be that good, but it is! It's more like sweet and lightly salted.

I've always preferred Peanut M&M's over Plain and mix of candy, peanut, and chocolate pair well with the almonds and buttery pretzel.

The shortbread cookies, I'm not entirely sold on. They're crunchy, but pretty hard as well. I expected shortbread have a bit more give to them. I taste is not quite the buttery sweet I prefer either. Instead, there's a slightly weird flavor I can't figure out.

I love the almonds and pretzels though. The almonds are very lightly salted; just enough to set off the roasted almond flavor, and the pretzel have just the right amount of salt and texture.

I can easily go through a bag of M&M's Peanut Snack Mix if I'm not paying attention. If you want a tasty, balanced blend of salty and sweet, this is it.

I'd avoid it if you don't care for hard crunches though. The cookies might be the hardest out of the bunch oddly enough.
