Review: Yoplait - Plenti Greek Yogurt

Yoplait's Plenti Greek Yogurt features the brand's Greek yogurt in various flavors with oats, flax seeds, pumpkin seed, and fruit mixed in.

They carry a suggested price of $1.59 per 5.3-oz cup but I received four flavors (Spiced Apple, Coconut, Strawberry, and Raspberry) courtesy of Yoplait.

I know this sometimes happens with Greek yogurt but all four cups had a thin, watery consistency that sat somewhere between regular yogurt and the Greek stuff.

The oats, flax seeds, and pumpkin seeds seemed to be Yoplait's answer to Chobani Oats. Sitting immersed in yogurt, they contributed a varied, hearty, firm texture but can be a bit gummy at times.

For each flavor, the yogurt itself featured the appropriate flavor rather than a sauce or compote that you mix in. All the flavors were pretty nice although the Raspberry was a little too tart for me (but very much like actual raspberries). I preferred the Coconut and Strawberry flavors of the four; the Spiced Apple didn't hit the right notes for me spice-wise and was a little too heavily spiced.

Each cup had bits of fruit mixed in. The apples were cut the largest and are especially nice if you like your yogurt with chunks. The Coconut featured dried shredded coconut, while the other two sat somewhere in between.

Overall, Yoplait Plenti are good for a heavier, more textured take on Greek yogurt. Each flavor I tried offered a good representation of their respective fruits but I think I'd like these better if the grains and seeds were kept separate and dry. That way, you could add them yourself and get more of a crunch.
