I went and bought an order for $2.99.
These come in a fairly deep bowl, similar in size and shape to a KFC Bowl, rather than wide shallow dish like you'd get with nachos. It's not the ideal set up for keeping the fries crispy, especially since the bowl is sealed with a plastic lid with only a tiny hole to vent any steam. Fortunately, I ate this at the restaurant so the fries remained relatively crispy.
There was a good cheese and bacon to fry ratio. The cheese sauce was warm, creamy, and very mild. The shredded cheese really didn't contribute any additional flavor that I could make out though.
The bacon was plentiful, crispy, and chopped in tiny rectangular strips. It wasn't too salty and added a nice smoky, porky quality.
The departure from the standard bacon, cheese, and potato combination is the parmesan peppercorn ranch sauce. It offered fairly strong herby, tangy parmesan notes but not much in the way pepper. It wasn't drizzled very heavily but was readily detected throughout. While the extra cheesiness was nice, I didn't really appreciate the tanginess and even judiciously applied, combined with the cheese and bacon, it overpowered the flavor of the fries a good deal.
