Review: Wendy's Crispy Chicken Deluxe

Wendy's Crispy Chicken Deluxe is currently available with a small order of french fries and small soda for $2.99 as part of their $2.99 Deluxe Value Meals.  The Crispy Chicken Deluxe features a ground white-meat chicken patty, two slices of thick cut Applewood smoked bacon, a slice of American cheese, mayo, a leaf of lettuce, and a slice of tomato.

Basically, it's a Crispy Chicken Sandwich but with bacon, cheese, and tomato hence the "Deluxe."
I got my Crispy Chicken Deluxe without cheese because I generally don't like cheese on my chicken sandwiches.  The standout for me has got to be the thick cut bacon, it stands in noticeable contrast to your typical paper-thin fast food bacon and delivers more flavor as well.  Beyond that, the Crispy Chicken Deluxe is much like most value-priced Chicken sandwiches although the chicken patty is thicker and the bun has a bit of sweetness that all Wendy's buns have.
